Our work is focused on Bacolod City, the capital of Negros Occidental, whose nickname is "City of Smiles." The church there has strong leadership and ministers to many of the village congregations on the island of Negros.

Alvin Luther went to the Philippines in the early 60's and married a Filipino girl named Fe. Now their son Nathan and his family have returned to work with them. Nathan and Karen both work with the Shiloh Christian School and speak at church and educational seminars all over the Philippines. Nathan speaks both Illongo and Cebuano languages.

At the core of Bacolod City is the Shiloh Christian School for elementary and high school students. The school is a very well known and respected ministry in the city. Many Highland members have visited over the years, and the Youth Group has taken a Praise Team to work with the children there.
