Memphis Urban Ministry is a nonprofit ministry that serves the poor in our city. Since 1992, God has used MUM to plant five urban churches around metro-Memphis. Memphis Urban Ministry has partnered with Kairos Church Planting Ministry to plant a new church in downtown Memphis. Memphis Urban Ministry serves the poor through outreach with community meals, clothing, housing, and emergency assistance, and an annual Turkey Giveaway, School Store, and Christmas Store.
In partnership with Harding University Graduate School of Religion, leaders are developed through a two year apprenticeship.
Memphis Urban Ministry provides jobs through a community development projects, such as the Raleigh Community Christian Child Care Center.
