CROSS-Shaped Vision
The Vision
The vision for Highland Children’s Ministry is based on the CROSS-shaped community: Christ, Relationships, Outreach, Service, and Study.

Christ
We want children to know how to worship and to understand the importance of worship. We want children to be involved in age-appropriate worship experiences. We want children to be a part of the corporate worship experience. We want to provide opportunities for children to worship.

Relationships
We want children to feel that they are a part of God’s family. We want children to build relationships with people their own ages and to build relationships with teens and senior members.

Outreach
We want children to tell others about Jesus. We want children to invite their friends and neighbors to church activities.

Service
We want children to reach others through service. We want children to put others before themselves as Jesus exampled. We want to offer opportunities for children to practice service and sacrifice.

Study
We want children to follow the right path. We want children to have a strong foundation upon which to build their spiritual lives. We want each opportunity for study to be utilized to its fullest. We want children to learn to pray and rely on God. We want children to understand the Bible is the map of life.
