My Part, God’s Plan: The Good Life / 1.23.22

This week, Eric talked about the good life: a life marked by purpose, instruction, and relationships (Genesis 2).

Discuss these questions with your small group, with friends or family, or journal your answers.

  1. What’s “the good life”? When have you said to yourself, “This is the good life”? Maybe there are a few specific and sweet memories that come to mind.
  2. How does our culture define the good life? How do those definitions stack up against those in Genesis 2?
  3. We are made to have a purpose. Read 2 Thessalonians 1:11. What do we learn about God and our purposes here?
  4. We are made to need the instruction of God’s Word. Read Psalm 1 and Psalm 23. How is God’s Word described here? How can God’s “rod” and “staff” be comforts—and not burdens—to us?
  5. We are made to need allies—Godly relationships. Who are some allies in Scripture that prove this to be true? Who are some of your allies? How have they helped you?
