WHAT: Girls Retreat is an opportunity to get away from stress, worry, and boys for two days! We'll eat delicious food, enjoy free time, grow closer to other girls, and most importantly grow closer to God. This retreat is special because HYG's Senior girls help plan and execute it. You won't want to miss it!

For upcoming 7th-9th graders
WHERE: St. Louis, MO
WHY: To hang out with friends in a cool city, get to know HYG staff, create lasting memories
WHAT: Fun stuff and Six Flags. We also have devotionals and relationship building activities each night.
HOTEL: Holiday Inn Express in Fenton, MO. Students stay in a room with other students of the same gender and grade. Adults do not stay in the rooms with students, but they do monitor the rooms at night. The hotel front desk is staffed at all times.
ADULTS: The 3 HYG youth ministers, 4 HYG interns, and a few parents serve as chaperones. Each adult chaperone keeps up with their assigned group of students. Students are given freedom to walk around Six Flags in small groups. We meet at specified times to walk around as a group. Students are also given a card with all the adult cell phone numbers in case they ever get separated or just want to call and say thanks for being awesome.
COST: $190 per student. Fee covers bus, hotel, one dinner, City Museum ticket, and Six Flags ticket. Spending money is needed for 3 fast food meals x $10 each, plus lunch at Six Flags $20. Amount depends on souvenir/food purchases at Six Flags. Breakfast provided at the hotel. We provide light snacks and water both nights.
Wednesday: Arrive at Highland at 6:40am to load bus; Depart from Highland at 7:00am sharp; Fast food lunch on the way; activity, dinner at Old Spaghetti Factory (included), Devo at hotel
Thursday: Six Flags all day; lunch at the park; fast food dinner at Lion's Choice; Devo at Forest Park
Friday: Fast food lunch, return to Highland at 4:00pm
For upcoming 10th-12th graders and 2019 high school graduates
WHAT: Ocoee High School Retreat is a 3 day, super relaxed time of camping, hammocking, hiking, sleeping in tents, devotionals by waterfalls and simply soaking in the presence of God while being surrounded by his creation. HYG provides the tents.
TENTATIVE SCHEDULE: We will leave from church on Thursday, July 25 at 7:00am. We will raft the Ocoee on Friday, July 26, and return on Saturday, July 27 at 5:00pm.
WHAT TO BRING: Bible, Sleeping Bag, Pillow, Casual Clothes, Rain Gear, Plastic Bag (for wet clothes), Bug Spray, Light jacket (it may get cool at night), Flashlight, Towels, Sunscreen, Shoes or Sandals (to wear on the river), Lawn Chair (labeled with your name), Swimsuit, and a strap for your glasses, if you wear them.
